Our story

Henry Bishop founded Furthr in 2018, with the belief that most people care deeply about their environment. More than that, people are actually willing to make changes to create a better quality of life for everyone - they just don't always know where to start.

The Furthr platform was therefore created to help individuals calculate and learn how to reduce their footprint, in a fun, personalised way.​

To extend its impact, Furthr started to move from a B2C to a B2B approach, helping businesses on their own environmental journey (footprint calculation, reduction, offsetting). We still offer the platform to individuals, and as a reward and employee benefit.

James Fairclough

Chair of the Board

James Fairclough is a portfolio Angel investor and advisor to disruptive start-up and scale-up businesses and their Founders. He is Non-Executive Chair of Kindred, Furthr and Settlement Agreement Solicitors.

In addition to his work as Trustee at Children in Need, he has been a trustee of Leukaemia UK since 2018.

Crawford Hollingworth

Non-Executive Director

Crawford is a behavioural change expert and Fellow of the Marketing Society, the Market Research Society and the Royal Society of Arts.

He is the Global Chairman and Co-Founder of The Behavioural Architects. His book, 'How Your Brain is Wired', written with Cathy Tomlinson, which should be on everyone’s reading list!

Board Member

Wolfgang is the Managing Director of First Climate Projektentwicklung GmbH (Project Development).

He's also Investor, Founding Partner and Managing Director at everi GmbH and Carbonbay.

Board Member

Sid is the Managing Director at First Climate Consulting GmbH, a leading global provider of carbon management and green energy services for corporate and public sector clients.

He's also Investor, Founding Partner and Managing Director at everi GmbH and Carbonbay.

Matthew Bradley

Board Member

Matthew is an experienced VC and angel investor. He has led over 20 investments into early stage tech businesses and had held many non-exec roles in rapidly scaling startups and scaleups.

He is the Founder of Tikto Capital and former CIO and CFO of Forward Partners.

Founder & CEO

After years working in the consulting world at Accenture, Henry co-founded Furthr in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, to help individuals and businesses to do more on their journey to net zero.

He believes nature and biodiversity preservation can engage stakeholders and should take the place they greatly deserve in corporate sustainability.

COO

Having managed the operations of companies both in the tech and industrial sectors, Paul brings a passion for innovative solutions benefiting customers and users alike.

His drive to scale up purpose-driven businesses led him to join Furthr from an early stage.

Head of Strategy

With experience in environmental startups and governmental bodies, Margot joined Furthr to structure the company's strategy across its business and individuals offers.

She believes in the power of positive narratives to make a difference in the fight against climate change.

Commercial Lead

Darragh has a background in corporate carbon footprinting and assurance as well as delivering decarbonisation strategies across a range of sectors.

Having previously worked at The Carbon Trust, he brings first-hand knowledge of the steps organisations need to take to reach net zero.

Product Manager

Tania is a versatile manager with experience across international development, banking, consulting, travel, and employee wellbeing.

Adventurous in spirit, she has worked and travelled extensively around the world and is now based between London and Mauritius.

Jenni has a background in both Engineering & Sustainable Construction, with a particular focus on delivering emissions reduction pathways for large-scale public services and infrastructure projects.

She's also passionate about individual action and how it can change the course of the climate crisis.

Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Nalise is a change-maker, passionate about sustainability and creating positive impact.

She finds expert solutions to complex sustainability challenges, offering integrated services in sustainability and ESG across all industries.

Account Manager

With a strong experience in Business Development and General Management, coupled with diverse B2B & B2C experience, Mark has worked in a range of sectors including med tech, clean tech, air pollution control, medical devices and analytics.

He consults and works with start ups that have the will to be a force for good.
